What is wheel alignment?
Wheel alignment, sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is how a car’s suspension and steering are adjusted to ensure the tires are angled just right to make proper contact with the road. The alignment will get out of whack from hitting a pothole or curb, going too fast over a speed bump, or regularly driving off-road. Inspecting the alignment should be part of your regular 5,000-mile maintenance, but if your tires squeal or seem to wear down quickly, or you notice your car pulling to one side, it may be time to take a look at the alignment. We’ll adjust the wheels to the car manufacturer’s specifications.
Problems with Car Alignment
Over time, a car that is not in proper alignment will cause uneven or excessive wear on tires, which can contribute to overall poor performance including reducing gas mileage. You also won’t have a smooth ride. Tires should last 50,000 to 70,000 miles, so to extend the life of your tires, we recommend rotating and inspecting the tires as part of your annual maintenance.
